Perfect Lodge

We stayed at Cedar Creek Lodge for 5 days & enjoyed every minute in this beautiful & immaculate house... Terri & Michael had everything you could want from toiletries to kitchen gadgets for cooking & a wonderful fire pit for nite time fires with our family .. We were only minutes from Sister Bay & Fish Creek ... The setting of this Lodge was perfect... Beds were so comfy & plenty of room for us all .. Terri put together beautiful landscaping for the Fall season too .. Thank you both for making our stay another wonderful family memory in Door County Sherrie & family

Thank You Sherrie for choosing us and we are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and the location, Thank you for the nice comments on how comfortable the lodge was for your family. We would be honored to have you and your family back again anytime. Warm Regards, Michael and Terrie

Perfection!

Based on previous glowing reviews, our expectations were very high, and were exceeded. Stunningly beautiful property, immaculate and well appointed. We celebrated a 60th birthday at the lodge and in the surrounding villages of Fish Creek, Egg Harbor, Sister Bay and Baileys Harbor. We had nine adults and there was plenty of room for all of us to gather in the house, on the deck, or around the fire pit. Mike and Terrie were welcoming, responsive, and pleasant. They provided clear instructions for the house, and plenty of recommendations for things to do, restaurants to try, and sights to see. Mike's craftsmanship is incredible and Terrie's beautiful landscape shows the love she pours into it. Highly recommend this property!

Absolutely gorgeous home

This home is absolutely stunning! We travel to Door County multiple times every year, and we cannot believe it took us this long to find this gem. The location is perfect. It is a very short drive from great restaurants and shopping, but at the same time this home gives you a true get-a-way feeling as it is very peaceful and relaxing. The property is full of wildlife, and it was great to enjoy our morning coffee looking out the large windows to see what would fly or walk by. The decor is done very well for a lodge such as this, and was very cozy. The home was spotless and very clean. Michael was wonderful to work with, always answered emails in a timely fashion, and greeted us to show us around the home when we checked in. We had a wonderful stay, and we will definitely be coming back.

Perfectly crafted log home

his was our family's 2nd trip to Door County to stay at Michael and Terrie's beautiful cabin. The place is just huge and the landscaping is just breathtaking. The owners take so much care and attention to detail to everything to make sure guests are comfortable during their visits. We have 2 small children and the space really worked well for us. Most of our time was spent on the porch admiring the hummingbirds coming to the bird-feeders or gathering in the kitchen at the big island for mealtime. The only issue was the rainy weather, just like last year around this time, but we didn't let the weather stop our fun, donned windbreakers and kept moving to enjoy Door County's family friendly attractions! We will certainly visit again!

AMAZING CHOICE FOR RELAXING, NICE LOCATION, LOVELY

This is an outstanding location and Mike is extremely kind. There are 4 large beds, note that one is in the lower great room that has no window coverage so that sun just pours in ; same with the loft. This is by far the best stay we have had in Door County and we go every year. Photos on this site do not do it justice at all. We enjoyed the fire pit and the children enjoyed the long driveway and vast yard for water balloon play. We will be back next year. This place is truly getaway heaven.

Loved this log home

The moment our three generation family walked through the front door of your beautiful, hand-crafted log home we were in love! All nine of us enjoyed and explored your home from the loft to the laundry room. The main level open floor plan of massive logs with floor-to-ceiling windows allowed us to enjoy Terriie's many beautiful flowers and bird houses. The gourmet kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and more. We had fun trying to figure out how to make use of the assortment of kitchen gadgets! Gathered around the mammoth dining room table for family meals was a time to share our experiences. Our grandchildren loved trying to figure out the uses of all the antique farm tools that served as decor. I appreciated the labor of love that went into the making of the lovely beds and dressers. There was plenty of room and comfy chairs on the porch and deck to enjoy morning coffee and watch the antics of the hummingbirds. Grandma could slip away to Terrie's angel garden for some quiet time and to enjoy the abundant assortment of unique Hostas. Nighttime was spent by the fire pit roasting hotdogs and marshmallows using the forks that were provided and the flashlights so we could find our way back to the house in the pitch black of starry night. Thank you Michael and Terrie for such a wonderful vacation spent in your remarkable log home.immaculate and well appointed. amazing stay

Even better than it looks in the pictures, this property is in a perfectly peaceful spot with easy access to all the area has to offer. A lot of care went into building this property, and it shows. The owner was very attentive and called us prior to arrival and then after arrival to ensure that we had what we needed. He was also easily available by text with a speedy reply. They even had firewood that we could use, as well as bug spray so we could comfortably enjoy the outdoors. We will definitely be coming back again-- could not have asked for anything more-!

Relaxing and tranquil escape from reality!

Where to begin? First, the log cabin was exactly as described and then some! For most of us, it's our dream home. Plenty of space for a large group or cozy enough for a romantic get-a-way! All the amentities one could want while on vacation including the great fire pit area and beautifully landscaped lawn. We spent most of our time on the back porch/deck starting with coffee/tea in the morning and ending with cocktails or wine at the end of the day. Secondly, Mike and Terrie couldn't have been more accommodating and gracious. Even making room for our Harley! Their local recommendations were spot on (given it was our first trip to Door County) and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Lastly, before booking, I read how this cabin was "in the middle of nowhere but close to everything." This couldn't have been more true. My family loved exploring but also loved returning to the cabin nestled in the woods. Said they would take this location over one in town and close to the water any day. Only recommendation I have is don't forget to pack your hammock! Should it be your first trip to Door County, I recommend Fred and Fuzzy's, PC Junction, Wilson's Ice Cream, Nicolet Bay or Fish Creek Beach and Pelliteirs Fish Boil to name a few. Don't forget to stay up late one night and take in the sky peppered with stars too! We also were able to witness one of the most beatuiful rainbows of our lifetime (and my Mom is 72). Needless to say, we created many family memories for which we will be cherish for years to come. If in doubt, just say yes! Thanks again Mike! Hope to visit again.

Impeccably maintained9200 W Meadow Rd, Baileys Harbor, WI, 54202, United States Date of Stay Aug 10, 2016 Helpful votes: 0/0 This was a quality VRBO experience from the inquiry process to checkout! The owners, Michael and Terrie, have thought of everything to help guests have a great Door County experience. The home and surrounds are gorgeous and private-- gardens galore give almost a tropical feeling to the exterior. The interior is beautiful and handcrafted. The sleeping arrangements are creative-- some very private and others allowing guests (in our case cousins) to be together. You cannot go wrong renting this property-- well worth the money. We live in Door County so the Lodge was an additional house for our family reunion. Our family was sad to leave this lovely home. Thank you to the owners! My Response Thank you for choosing us for your extended families stay and we are so happy to hear everyone enjoyed their stay and the lodge, We hope you will consider us again in the future. Sincerely, Michael and Terrie
